We formed G G Racing in 2002 to offer a variety of ownership plans to people with an interest in horse racing, from the seasoned owner to the newcomer. We currently have a number of horses available with a variety of share options. We offer standard shares of 1/100th and 1/400th and larger options up to 20%. 2006 proved an exciting time. In January we achieved a unique feat for a small owner/trainer combination by producing a 250/1 treble at Lingfield Park. We finished the year with a total of 5 winners and 18 places from 49 runs with all our horses who ran picking up some prize money along the way, with our final total topping £30,000. We increased the string at times by leasing horses short term to offer more chances for syndicate members to go racing. With 49 runs that equates to almost an outing a week!
2007 saw us continue to grow and expand. Our two broodmares gave birth to foals in April, JOY and SONNY. We had runs from all our five horses in training: Willhego, Smokin' Joe, Prince of Medina, Woodygo, and Howdigo. We also rehomed two of our horses who had to be retired from racing - TOMMY who became a companion horse and worked well with the young yearlings until his sad death from a bowel problem at Christmas and HOTCHPOTCH who went off for a new life as a cossetted pet come occasional competition entrant.
We are proud of our association with John Best. John trains at Hucking near Maidstone and maintains standards you would normally associate with a much bigger yard. His staff to horse ratio is high and this enables each horse to be worked (if appropriate) daily. We do not have large 'open days' with hundreds of people trying to get close to their horses but prefer the personal touch and arrange individual visits at a time that suits. John is always welcoming to all our syndicate members and their guests.

John followed on from the success of 2006 when he had his first group and listed runners and saddled his first group winner. He also had success in selling horses on with large amounts being paid for Kingsgate Prince (who went overseas) and Rising Cross (who stayed with the yard under new ownership). The star of the yard for 2007 was Kingsgate Native who astounded everyone when winning the Nunthorpe at York as a 2-yr-old. 2008 looks set to bring more excitement with Native following a 3-yr-old career before transferring to stud and a whole group of new 2-yr-olds to entertain us.

The concept at G G Racing is simple. You choose a horse, you purchase a share in whatever size suits your needs and/or your pocket and then you relax and enjoy the excitement, fun and yes, sometimes frustration, of being an owner. You will be kept up to date with regular emails and written newsletters and have all the information you need to enjoy your ownership to the full in your membership pack - which also includes your share document and a photograph of your horse. You will have the opportunity of going racing and of visiting your horse at home at the yard.
