woody has been retired and rehomed and is currently being retrained.
He is a first crop yearling by Tobougg, who was the top-rated new sire in Britain. Tobougg was the second top rated 2-yr-old in England and third in Europe. He won over £740,000 racing all over the world, his most remembered moment being a third place behind Galileo in the 2001 Derby, the second fasted run ever.
Woody became an instant favourite with the stable staff as he is very placid and responds well to training. He worked reasonable well on the gallops but unfortuantely he never lived up to his full potential on the race course. He is prone to injury and therefore it was sadly decided to call it a day and offer him for sale out of racing.
